If you struggle getting current clients to refer other clients...and...most of your new clients come from external marketing that is expensive, you'll want to take this next marketing lesson very seriously.

 

Here's what it's all about: you should minimally have 25% of your

  Maybe it's a sign of problems with the current relationship you may have with your clients.  More likely though, you don't have systems in place to automatically stimulate clients referrals each month..

 

Either way, it's an area you need to put focus into.  Why? clients

Hard to beat this type of marketing.  You can sing your own praises in

 your marketing through lots of proof, telling people why you are thee

 best in all your ads and fill your advertising with testimonials, but it will never have the power of an actual 1st personal testimonial and the urging of that person to visit your office.

 

The question is...how do you set up your marketing to trigger this to

 

Don't get me wrong...you should include all of these in your marketingg

 arsenal.  I'm simply saying that you should also have a system that

 automatically triggers referrals from current clients.  Let some of your marketing do the heavy lifting for you.

 

Here's why I believe that client newsletter inserts are an excellent

 

I agree.  If the inserts are weak, you are throwing money away onn

 printing and maybe even aggravating past client through your marketing.

 

Done properly though, this is one of the most effective strategies to

 the reasons I like this strategy so much is because it is automatic and it goes out to lots of clients one time vs having to talk to all

 your clients one at a time.

 

You can also parlay (combine) the inserts with other referral

 promotions, like a monthly referral contest.  Another reason I like using inserts is because you can piggy back them with other direct mail promotions.

 In other words, place the inserts in other promotional materials you

 are sending out that month.  This will save you money on multiple

 mailings. Postage is getting expensive these days.

 

Here's a couple keys to make your inserts lethally effective...

Add a certificate at the end.  An involvement device they can cut out

 and hand to someone.  Always print your inserts with colored paper like Golden Rod or Yellow.  You want tocatch their attention.  Use lots of hooks and psychological hot buttons and incorporate techniques of persuasion (be ethical).  Tie your promotions to different holidays, news, hot topics and specific times of the year.  Give bonuses and incentives for fast action and limit the number of available free consultations or financial checkups.  This creates urgency.  Don't forget a strong headline that gets them to read the insert in the 1st place.
