Ok, so Obama
is saying there’s little hope for recovery in the near future
and the news media is blasting away at the recession and blaming
Bush for all our current problems.
So I was
talking to one of my older and very successful members (who
actually reads, studies and implements my marketing strategies)
who is always giving me his success stories and of course his
advise. Here’s what he said and I paraphrase it, “When you have
prosperous and profitable times you watch your profits grow and
when you’re in recessionary times you open up your check book
and spend more money on advertising and marketing. You don’t
hide under your bed and run for cover. Yes, you have to double
your work efforts and start doing things you don’t want to do.”
Here’s 7
Ways I’ve decided to not participate in the current recession.
1. Doubled
my mailing campaign to 2,000 personal touch postcards per week.
I’m mailing the same list of names almost monthly. Remember,
frequency builds trust… You’re wasting your money by mailing
only once! It sometimes takes up to eight contacts before some
prospects respond. That’s why 95% of all agents fail in this
business because they only mail once.
2. My
biggest game changer is I signed up as a brand builder with
Local Ad Link and have my ads running in over 50 zip codes.
With the brand builder package I received $1,000 in free
advertising on the Internet.
3. I signed
up 149 agents in 33 days using postcards and emails to sell
local ad links and recruit a team that will provide me a
residual income of $20,000 to $50,000 a month by next year.
Personally, I think the local ad link is going to be the next
Google with the easiest, most affordable, track able way to
connect your business with local consumers. With 600,000 people
losing their jobs in January you have a hungry crowd looking for
plan B for income. This is the best system I’ve seen in 15
years and they will hit a “Grand Slam” all you need to do is get

4. You
should be mailing monthly to your in house database. Start using
my “Tell-a-Friend” insert in your monthly newsletter
along with a return envelope and a 42 cent stamp. The agent in
the headline receives an average of 5 to 7 referrals per week.
My top member in 2008 received over 700 referrals from this
insert.
5. I hired
a marketing assistant to help generate more leads for our
business. Seriously, if you don’t have a marketing assistant or
telemarketer working at $8.00-$10.00 per hour calling off your
list of seniors in your area and booking you an 8:30AM and an
11:30PM appointment five days a week you’re blowing it. I have
a presentation and power phrases I used for years that if they
call seven prospects on the phone they should have two

6. I’m also
mailing my in house list something every month. Currently, I’m
sending out the “World’s Smallest Marketing Newsletter.” The
most profitable list is your current clients who know and
respect you.
7. Knowledge
is power!! I’m buying and reading at least 5- 7 marketing,
sales and positive thinking books every month and increasing my
knowledge. Question, when was the last time you actually bought
and read a good marketing, sales or motivation book? If not,
get with it. Go to Amazon and do a search of these books. You
may start by re-visiting my marketing course called the “Mother
of All Marketing Systems.”
